Shahrukh Khan Receives Black Belt in Taekwondo

Shahrukh Khan may not be a master in Taekwondo, but the South Korean embassy in Mumbai still gave theBollywood big shot a black belt in the martial art form, along with another special honor for his workas ambassador in culture and tourism."The Korean government has decided to confer an honorary belt in taekwondo to Shahrukh and they are also giving him the title of an honorary ambassador for culture and tourism," Shahrukh's spokesperson told reporters on Wednesday. The honor will be handed to the B-town superstar at the Taj Lands End hotel in Mumbai on Thursday. The honorary black belt in Taekwondo will be the second international honor for SRK this year. In July, he received an honorary doctorate in arts and culture by Bedfordshire University in London for his contribution to art and cinema. Late last year, he also received the honorary titleof 'Datuk' from the Malaysian government.

Preity Zinta cheers for Salman Khan’s Being Human HDIL show

Salman Khan had many Bollywood biggies sashay down the ramp for his ‘Being Human’ show at the ongoing HDIL India Couture Week here late Tuesday. The celeb list included the likes of Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan.

But, the person who pepped up the show was bubbly Preity Zinta who sat with her friend choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan and fashion designer Manish Malhotra and started cheering and clapping right from the beginning of the show when Salman graced the ramp.

‘Wow! Salman! Salman!,’ shouted Zinta attired in a black T-shirt and sporting a new look with fringes falling perfectly on her forehead, the actress looked as ravishing as ever. Farah Khan and Manish Malhotra too joined her.

‘I must tell you that my throat is already gone. I was so happy that all this shouting and cheering just happened. The show was all about being human and being together. It celebrated togetherness of the industry and this is what had me do all the shouting. But it is worth it,’ said Preity.

Commenting on Aamir Khan’s ramp debut, she said that the actor looked cute.

‘I think he was looking very cute on the ramp. He is already so charming and you can’t take that away from him,’ she said.

 

 

 

Big B turns 67

As the superstar of Bollywood, Big B, turned 67  on 11th October, he is rding high on success. The latest addition to his achievements is as the host of ‘Big Boss 3’ on the smaller screen. He will also be seen as a genie in his soon to be released ‘Aladin’.Amitabh Bachchan was born to Hindi poet Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He started his career in Bollywood in 1969 and now in 2009 he has completed four decades of his life entertaining us.On his retirement and career plans, Amitabh said, “I would disagree that actors of my age don’t get important roles to play in movies. Look at Dada Muni (Ashok Kumar)…he was an example. He kept doing important roles even till he was 80 years old. I can’t be playing the lover boy anymore. So I do all those roles that suit a 67-year-old.”

Last year, Big B had a very quiet birthday owing to his mother’s illness. This year he plans to spend his birthday with his family. He says, “I shall be with my family in the night to bring in my birthday. Abhishek and Aishwarya shall drive down from location to be with me.”

Salman & Aamir Khan - The ice is melting

Salman Khan and Aamir Khan displayed perfect chemistry in the laugh riot ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. Then both of them seemed to share cold vibes and they never saw eye to eye with each other. However, ice started melting when Aamir appeared in Salman’s show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ and they also walked the ramp together. Now, after 15 years both of them have decided to work together once again in a flick which both of them will produce and act together. The script of the film is still being finalized and once it is in place, the film will go on floors under the co-production of Aamir Khan Productions and Salman’s brother Sohail Khan’s production house.

Insiders say that Salman and Aamir will have equal footage in the film. The rest of the cast is being finalized and the director will also be on board pretty soon.

Meanwhile, it may be mentioned here that Salman, who is known to shower expensive gifts on his friends, was in for a shock when his dad Salim Khan’s friend Zafar Sareshwala gifted him the luxurious BMW X6. Salman collected his BMW X6 Activity Coupe yesterday in Ahmedabad from Zafar’s Parsoli Motors. The BMW is worth 75 lakhs. That is Wow!!!

Hrithik Roshan as Provogue's Next Brand Ambassador

Here is a very big endorsement scoop for you! When word got out about Provogue's search for a new brand ambassador, B-town went wild. Many names emerged, from stars like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan, to Akshaye Khanna and Akshay Kumar! But the prize went to one handsome superstar, Hrithik Roshan! After his endorsement deal with John Players, we're excited to see Hrithik endorse yet another international brand.

Previous celebrities to endorse this clothing line include Fardeen Khan and Saif Ali Khan.

After news of receiving the offer, sources claim that Hrithik ended his contract with John Players and Provogue took him on board. So we might soon see Hrithik in stylish Provogue ads all over.

 

Shahid Kapoor and the secret of his bums

Shahid Kapoor is so conscious about his perfect physique that he takes extra efforts not only to keep his biceps and abs fit but also to help look his posterior appealing. Now, the secret of Shahid’s perfectly round hips is out. The chocolate boy has apparently been using ‘bum bags’ to help make his hips round.

A bum bag is a fabric pouch that comes with a zipper and is worn around the waist and strapped around the bums. The fact was revealed to a newspaper by a close source who also added that “Shahid has been wearing bum bags ever since his debut film, ‘Ishq Vishq’ in 2003.”

Shahid is very regular in hitting the gym and has worked hard to attain the perfectly chiselled physique but unfortunately has a flat butt and has unable to put on weight on his hips. His lean and boyish structure has always been the source of his worry. So, as soon as he arrives at the sets and once he enters his vanity van, he makes sure that he wears bum bags in every single shot.

Ranbir Kapoor or Zayed Khan: Who Rocks the Cover Better?

Judging by the cover of the latest issue of Star Dust magazine, they are hunting for the new king of Bollywood! Ranbir Kapoor graces the glammy cover, donning a white open shirt and flashy sun glasses, looking like the latestmember of a young, new boy band. So could the "Wake Up Sid" star be one of the hottest B-town actors rocking a cover right now?

Well, not so fast! Let’s not forget about Zayed Khan. The "Blue" hunk rocks the black and white cover of this month’s Andpersand magazine. While the paper might not be as famous as Star Dust in the celeb quarters, Zayed sure pulls off his look on the cover page, sporting a black hat, scarf and a three day beard!
